Police: 11-year-old Ohio girl injured when shots fired at house

CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say an 11-year-old girl was shot in the leg after someone started shooting at the house where she lives in Cleveland.

Authorities say the girl was inside her home when a group of four or five men started banging on the windows this morning.

Police say several gunshots were fired at the home about 1:30 a.m. A family member told police they heard the girl scream after she was shot when a bullet went through the front of the home. The child was in stable condition at a Cleveland hospital.

Witnesses told police that a car had been seen driving up and down the street.

At least three other people were shot overnight in other Cleveland locations but there was no indication of any connection between the shootings.
