WARREN

Harold Travis Jr., 23, of Douglas Street Northwest is in the Trumbull County Jail, facing charges of felonious assault and abduction for a reported incident July 12 in which a man says he and his girlfriend were held against their will at a house on Douglas Street Northwest.

Travis was arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court, where not-guilty pleas were entered on his behalf. He is not eligible to be released on bond.

The victim said he and his girlfriend were visiting the home on Douglas and wanted to leave but the people there would not let them.

Through a cellphone call to a third party, police were notified and arrived to help the victims leave the house, a police report says.

Later that night, the victims were driving in the city when a car with four males in it approached – one holding a gun – and Travis threatened to hurt them if they didn’t drive back to Douglas, which they did.

Back at the house, Travis hit the male victim in his head and face with his fist. The victim went to the bathroom and escaped through a window.

Police have also filed an arrest warrant charging Harold Travis Sr., 48, of the Douglas address, with abduction, but he is not in custody.
