Bazetta crash sends motorcyclist to hospital


BAZETTA — A crash about 1:30 p.m. today sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports a motorcyclist was forced off the road when a van abruptly changed lanes in front of him on state Route 82.

A trooper said the 32-year-old motorcyclist slid into the median and got caught under some median cable wires before flipping over a fence.

The motorcyclist was transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for leg injuries which are not life-threatening, according to the OSHP. His name was not immediately available. The accident remains under investigation.
