Seeking teammates

The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals – MVYP – is looking for those interested in being on a team for the 2016 Panerathon on Aug. 21. The cost is $20 for a 10K run.

The Panerathon is a 10K run and 2-mile walk/run or walk, and kids run that brought out 10,000 participants and spectators in 2015.

Last year, $300,000 was raised for the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley in support of The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Safety seminar set

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have an “Accident Investigations” seminar from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 10 at The Maronite Center, 1555 S. Meridian Road.

Investigating a worksite incident – a fatality, injury, illness or close call – provides employers and workers the opportunity to identify hazards in their operations and shortcomings in their safety and health programs.

At the seminar, Greg Safran, chief SafT officer at SafT Integration, will help employers and workers identify and implement the corrective actions necessary to prevent future incidents.

SafT helps businesses with safety and culture improvements.

MYCAP sets times, dates for sessions

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership, MYCAP, 1325 Fifth Ave., has scheduled times and dates of the next information sessions on its Employment Skills and Training Program of 2016.

The times and dates are: 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 1 to Aug. 4.

The information sessions give an outline of what is covered in the class, details of the program and what is expected from each participant.

Candidates interested in the Aug. 8 class must attend only one of the informational sessions.

Class space is limited.

The six-week class runs through Sept. 15 at MYCAP.

Power Program

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a Power Program at Beef O’Brady’s, 3660 Niles Cortland Road NE, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11.

The Power Programs are a chance to network with other chamber members and non-members.
