A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

July 1

Warrant: Police arrested James Thomas, 33, of Narcissa Street, Struthers, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

July 5

Warrant: Michael Raulin, 66, of Fairview Avenue, surrendered to police. He was wanted on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

Fraud charges: A resident in the 500 block of Stoneybrook Lane reported fraudulent charges made on a checking account.

July 10

Warrant: Police arrested Zachary Fisher, 20, of Lakewood Avenue, Lake Milton, on a warrant out of Kent.

July 13

Unauthorized charges: Unauthorized charges to a checking account were reported at a home in the 300 block of Fairground Boulevard.

July 16

Drug abuse: Police arrested Michael Wooley, 22, of Creed Street, Struthers, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

AUSTINTOWN

July 11

Theft: A purchased vehicle was not delivered at a home in the 2000 block of Breezewood Drive.

Theft: Makeup was stolen by a woman at Walgreen’s, 40 N. Meridian Road.

July 12

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Curtis Matlock, 36, of Brookline Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of drug abuse of marijuana.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Charles Crosby, 23, of Ivanhoe Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: A male suspect stole a carton of cigarettes from Get Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated burglary: Entry was made to a home in the 4000 block of Woodmere Drive while homeowners were home, and a television was stolen.

Criminal damaging: Numerous spots of pellet damage to siding were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Nottingham Avenue.

Theft: A basketball hoop was stolen from a home in the 50 block of Car-negie Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Melanee Patton, 26, of Aldrich Road, Austintown, on a warrant for failure to appear on a court order.

Theft: A male suspect was observed on video in a theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s windshield was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road.

Theft: Two juvenile suspects were arrested on a theft charge at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

July 13

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Hector Colon, 19, of Glenwood Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Junior Blair, 18, of Cleveland Street, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Lamarcus Williams, 23, of North Raccoon Road, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug abuse of marijuana.

Theft: Keys and an iPhone were stolen from a home in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.

Disturbance: There were conflicting stories on a disturbance at a home in the 2000 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Yaisa Quintana Laboy, 31, of West Calla Road, Salem, on a bench warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 14

Warrant: Police arrested Brian Bees, 29, of South Raccoon Road, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Burglary: There was no forced entry at an apartment burglary in the 20 block of Wickliffe Circle.

Criminal damaging: Damage to siding by BB pellets was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Dunbar Avenue.

Theft: A nail gun was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of White Beech Lane.

Recovered property: A Social Security card was recovered at the police station.

Drug overdose: Police charged Brian Schiavo, 34, of Mulberry Run, Mineral Ridge, with inducing panic, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments and drug abuse of heroin after he overdosed and was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital’s Emergency and Diagnostic Center.

Theft: Police arrested Gerald Steele, 60, of Laurie Drive on charges of theft and criminal damaging/endangering. Police accused him of stealing screwdrivers from a vehicle. He purportedly damaged the driver’s door handle and completely pried off the vehicle’s door at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

July 15

Theft: A wallet was lost or stolen, and charges were made to a credit card that belonged to a person who lives in a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Avenue.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Alan DiRenzo, 20, of Pine Trace Street, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Aggravated robbery: Police charged Jeremiah Allen, 23, of Rea Boulevard, Warren, with aggravated robbery. Police accuse Allen of robbing a man and putting a gun to the back of his head after he climbed into the backseat of the victim’s vehicle. Stolen was $1,100 at LEFF Electric, 1090 N. Meridian Road.

July 16

Truck theft/recovered property: A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was recovered after being stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Patricia Avenue. A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested in the theft.

Warrant: Police arrested Brian Murry, 55, of Canfield Road, Youngstown, on a warrant for felonious assault at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Liquor was taken from Walmart.

Theft: Money was stolen from a car parked at a home in the 4000 block of Selkirk Avenue.

Burglary: A handgun and money were taken from a home in the 50 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Recovered property: A 1998 Dodge Durango stolen from a home in the 3000 block of New Road was recovered by Youngstown police.

Warrant: Police arrested Robert Courtney, 45, of Mahoning Avenue, North Jackson, on a warrant on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Drug abuse: Police issued a summons to Katie Cornelius, 36, of South Dunlap Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft: A male suspect stole a cherry picker from a home in the 200 block of South Meridian Road.

Theft: Money and a GPS unit were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen from Walmart.
