Atty. Edwin Romero and Judge Cheryl Waite of Youngstown are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Alexis Romero to Daniel Grove, both of Bluffton, S.C. The parents of the prospective groom are Patti Pompey Grove and Randy Grove, both of Dover, Ohio.

The couple are planning an open ceremony at 5 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Kidston Pavilion in Fellows Riverside Gardens. Invitations are being issued for the reception which will take place following the ceremony in the Davis Center at the Gardens.

The bride-elect graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in professional golf management. She works as a catering sales and service manager for Sea Pines Resort at Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Mr. Grove also graduated from OSU. His degree is construction systems management. He is an assistant project manager for Choate Construction Co. in Savannah, Ga.
