Abundant Life Fellowship plans 8th annual August Overflow

For the eighth-consecutive year, Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46, will be distributing school supplies and clothing, serving grilled food, distributing fresh produce and offering children’s activities at its August Overflow event scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 6.

The American Red Cross will conduct a blood drive during the event.

The school-supply distribution is specifically for students in Crestview, Columbiana (including Heartland Christian), Leetonia, East Palestine, Lisbon, Beaver Local districts and to home-schooled students in those districts

Members of the six churches in the Crestview district also are eligible.

To receive school supplies, recipients must bring a report card from the previous school year and/or a driver’s license or document showing proof of residency in one of those districts. They are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no registration.

Grilled food and other side dishes will be provided by the church. Fresh produce is coming from Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. Also provided throughout the day will be prayer for anybody needing ministry for specific needs.

Children will be treated to a barrel train ride. Donations of good, clean children’s clothing will be accepted at the church or office through Friday. The office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

Donations of school supplies also will be accepted there and at several area Home Savings branches in the county.

After cleanup, the day will conclude with a brief worship service at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Agency sponsors for August Overflow include Columbiana Community Foundation, The Way Station and the food bank.
