Youngstown man charged after fleeing

YOUNGSTOWN

Aaron Baldwin, 25, of Outlook Avenue was charged with failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, obstructing official business, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, fictitious license plates and a stop-sign violation Friday afternoon after a police pursuit.

An officer observed his car on Madison Avenue and knew that the temporary tag was expired because of an earlier incident, but the tag had been changed to have an expiration Friday.

The officer tried to make a traffic stop, but Baldwin fled at a high rate of speed, failing to stop for stop signs, then fleeing on foot on Kensington Avenue and being captured on Halleck Street about 3:18 p.m.

He was taken to the Mahoning County jail to be arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court.
