Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will be published on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. The Religion deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday for publication that Saturday. Send the information to the Religion Desk by email to religion@vindy.com; by fax to 330-747-6712 and marked for religion desk; or by mail to The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, Ohio, 44501-0780. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.
Austintown Baptist Church, 1180 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown: “Submerge” is the theme of the activity planned from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1-5 for kindergarten through sixth-grade students. The program is free. Contact Pastor Chuck Cole at 330-792-9532 or 330-501-7529.
Bethel Assembly of God, 3807 Mahoning Avenue, Austintown: “Cave Quest, Following Jesus the Light of the World!” is the theme of the program planned from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 3-9. Entrance is off Forest Hill. The free sessions are for fourth- through sixth-graders. Online registration on Facebook page, BethelAustinton, or on-site.
Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Ave., Lake Milton: The theme of the program is animals in the Bible. The church will host Jungle Terry and wild animals at 6 p.m. July 31. VBS sessions will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 2-4. The free program is for kindergarten through sixth-graders. A snack will be provided. To register, call 330-654-3921.
Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna: Fowler United Methodist Church and Vienna UMC are co-sponsoring “Mega Sports Camp” set from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. The session is for children from 4 years old through sixth grade. Activities will include basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball and golf.
