New Life Community Church, 504 Youngstown-Kingsville Road (intersection of Routes 82 and 193), will present a free performance and worship experience by Joseph Habedank at 10:30 a.m. July 31.

Habedank, a Daywind recording artist, is a multiaward-winning and Dove Award nominated singer/songwriter. For 10 years, he was baritone, then lead singer for a Southern Gospel group, the Perrys.

Phillips Chapel Church of God in Christ, 3903 Jacobs Road, will conduct its 37th annual Back-Home Revival Celebration at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1-7.

Superintendent (emeritus) Paul A. Loggins has been in the ministry for 52 years. He founded Phillips Chapel Church on Aug. 3, 1964. He served 27 years as superintendent of the former Youngstown District Churches of God in Christ until his retirement in 2006.

He now serves under the leadership of Superintendent Elder Ross Johnson of Greater Mahoning Valley District of the Churches of God in Christ. Superintendent Loggins had a radio broadcast ministry for 19 years in the city.

He also worked for 28 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Corp., retiring in 1977.

Earlier this year, he received the Flame of Spirit Award at the Revival One Network Pastors and Leaders Luncheon at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Animal connection

Annette Bragg, founder of Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary in Ravenna, has moved on from her role as director at the sanctuary.

She will present a program, “Creating a Spiritual Awareness of Our Connection to Animals - Who is Healing Who?” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Pittsburgh, 5401 Center Ave.

A donation of $5 is suggested.

Bragg plans to offer seminars and workshops.
