Youngstown police find woman passed out in car on South Side


YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports say a woman found about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday passed out behind the wheel of a car on the South Side told officers she had taken heroin just before she passed out.

Police were called to the intersection of East Indianola Avenue and Cooper Street. When they arrived, they found a car that had its bumper resting against a utility pole. When they looked inside, they found a needle next to the foot of the driver, Jennifer Mills, 33, of Ridgeway Avenue.

Reports said Mills was having trouble staying awake, and she was sweating and shaking. She told police she had just taken heroin, reports said. Inside the car police found two spoons and two more needles.

Mills was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital by ambulance to be examined with a police hold on charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
