Police: 13-year-old boy shot in drive-by shooting in Ohio

CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say a 13-year-old boy was shot in the arm in a drive-by shooting in Cleveland.

The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment after the Tuesday night shooting. Police say his condition wasn’t immediately available.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on the east side of the city. They say three boys, ages 12 to 13, were on the sidewalk when a dark-colored car drove past and a masked man sitting in the back seat fired several shots.

Police say one shot hit the 13-year-old boy and another hit a 12-year-old boy’s bicycle, knocking him off and into a third boy.

The shooting is still being investigated. Police did not comment on any suspected motive.
