Man gets prison for raping unconscious Pa. college student

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — A former student who raped an unconscious student in her West Chester University dorm room will spend six to 12 years in prison.

The Daily Local News of West Chester reports 20-year-old Kyle Vo assaulted the woman in January 2015 and was convicted in April.

The Whitpain man has since been expelled and was sentenced Tuesday on charges including rape of an unconscious person.

According to trial testimony, Vo and the woman were drinking alcohol and talking about sexual experiences in a group of other students. After the victim acknowledged she was a virgin and hoped to remain so, Vo left and returned with a bottle of vodka and started drinking shots with her.

She testified she awoke to find Vo having sex with her and that he refused to stop.
