Hunter Morrison to speak at Rotary lunch

The Youngstown Rotary will meet for a luncheon at noon today at the Fifth Floor Restaurant in the commerce building, 201 E. Commerce St. The meeting and program will follow at 12:30 p.m. Hunter Morrison, executive director of Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium and director of Youngstown State University Center for Urban and Regional Studies, will be the speaker.

Morrison also coordinated the development of Youngstown 2010 and YSU’s Centennial campus master plan. He was the planning director of the city of Cleveland, managed the city’s Civic Vision 2000 Downtown and Citywide plans. He worked with the Cleveland Regional Transit Authority to develop the Waterfront light rail line and the Health Line Rapid Transit on Euclid Avenue.
