FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Boardman, will serve takeout-only dinners of beef tips and noodles from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal is $8 and consists of Angus sirloin beef tips, noodles, corn, roll with butter and a cookie for $8. Drive to the back door to place your order; it will be delivered to your car.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

UPCOMING

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935, Bishop Franzetta Assembly Fourth Degree, will sponsor a roast beef dinner July 30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 122 S. State St., Girard. Doors will open at 5 p.m. The meal includes mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, dinner roll, dessert and coffee. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Bottled water and soft drinks will sell for 50 cents each. Carryout orders also will be available.

Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, will host its annual chicken barbecue dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 6. The meal includes two sides, roll, dessert and a beverage. Dinners are $9 for adults and $6 for children.
