GOP CONVENTION | Luntz warns Republicans against leaving Cleveland divided

CLEVELAND — Frank Luntz, a Republican consultant and pollster, told the Ohio delegation to the Republican National Convention today that "if you leave here divided, you have no shot at this."

Luntz was referring to some Republicans who are refusing to back Donald Trump because of his criticism of numerous groups of people.

Luntz said Trump "is the epitome of the 'American Dream," but if the election was today he'd lose by 3 percentage points to Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Luntz also said that Republicans lost voters between the ages of 26 and about 34 "a long time ago," but hinted that if Trump could soften his message the Republican could beat Clinton.
