“Power” (9 p.m., Starz): Season 3 of “Power” finds nightclub owner James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) out of the drug game and in a rekindled relationship with Angela (Lea Loren) — the assistant U.S. attorney sworn to bring him down. Oh, this can’t end well.

“Ballers” (10 p.m., HBO): The stakes are raised in Season 2 of “Ballers” as Spencer Strasmore (Dwayne Johnson) takes a risky go-big-or-go-home approach to his fledgling business. Will he score a touchdown or get sacked?

“VICE PRINCIPALS” (10:30 P.M., HBO): And you thought the war for the Iron Throne was vicious. In this madcap new comedy, Danny McBride and Walton Goggins play high school administrators who shift into attack mode when longtime principal (guest star Bill Murray) retires. But their battle for the top spot takes an unexpected twist when an outsider (Kimberly Hebert Gregory) nabs the job. Now the rival lunkheads team up to take her down. Game on.

‘Peopling of Valley’ is lecture topic

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next Bites and Bits of History Lunch Program will be Thursday at noon at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown. George D. Beelen, professor emeritus at Youngstown State University, and Dan O’Brien, associate editor of the Business Journal, will present The “Peopling of the Mahoning Valley Revisited.” Beelen will present the video, which was produced 20 years ago for Youngstown’s bicentennial and Mahoning County’s sesquicentennial. O’Brien will then provide an update on what’s been happening over the past generation.
