Kasich to address NAACP tonight

Ohio Gov. John Kasich will speak to the NAACP national convention that Donald Trump is bypassing.

Kasich will speak at the event in Cincinnati tonight, the eve of the start of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Kasich had hoped to challenge Trump for the presidential nomination at the convention before the businessman’s delegate lead became insurmountable.

NAACP leaders expressed frustration when Trump passed on their invitation, citing scheduling conflicts with the RNC underway next week.
