Cora A. Smith became the wife of Christopher Starr on July 3 at a ceremony in Boardman. The couple resides in Hubbard. The parents of the bride are Ernest and Diana Smith of Lowellville, and the mother of the groom is Phyllis Starr of Girard.

The wedding took place at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park, and was officiated by Renee Russell. The reception followed at St. Mark Orthodox Church in Youngstown.

The bride earned an associate degree in medical assisting and works as a medical billing specialist for an optometrist in Austintown.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems and information technology networking administration. He is the chief executive officer of Starr Technology Solutions in Girard.

The bride wore a strapless A-line gown with beaded lace from waist to hem. A chapel train completed the ensemble.

The honor attendant was Jennifer Anderson, the bride’s cousin. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Novak, Megan Maley and Cassidy Smith, cousin of the bride. The attendants wore navy dresses.

The best man was Bryan Brown, joined by groomsmen Bob Cottrell, Josh Szabo and Christopher Gargoline, uncle of the groom.
