A city woman was taken to the Mahoning County jail after her arrest Thursday on child-endangering and resisting-arrest charges.

According to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, Lisa Marie Patrick, 34, was arrested after an officer says he found a little boy believed to be 2 or 3 years old, standing on a sidewalk watching cars go by on Loveland Avenue on the South Side about noon.

The child apparently had climbed over a wooden gate, leaving three other siblings on the porch.

The boy told the officer he didn’t know where his mother was.

After taking the child to the porch, the officer spotted the mother in the kitchen and began to question her about her children.

The officer says when Patrick began refusing to answer his questions, he asked her to come over to his cruiser to talk.

When she refused and began walking away, the officer says he warned her she would be arrested if she didn’t stop.

According to the report, the TV station said, Patrick tried to pull away from the officer two times when he grabbed her wrist to place her in handcuffs.

Eventually, Patrick was arrested and charged with endangering children and resisting arrest.

Her husband was summoned home from work to care for the children, police said.
