A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:
HUBBARD
July 6
Arrest: Police responded to a mistaken 911 call that originated from Saul Drive, where they took into custody 45-year-old Andrew J. Fabrizi Jr. of Saul, Hubbard. He was wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Theft of services: A Stewart Avenue man told police someone without permission had placed garbage in a trash bin he owns in the 800 block of North Main Street.
July 7
Criminal damaging: A man returned to his Viola Avenue home and noticed a hole in a rear patio window, possibly from a 9 mm bullet.
Child endangering: Officers received a call that a 4-year-old girl was seen walking by herself through a parking lot at Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St. Trumbull County Children Services Board was notified.
July 9
Child endangering: Authorities responded to a complaint in the 20 block of Henry Street that a 1-year-old child clad only in a diaper was alone near the street. The infant was reunited with her mother, and no charges had been filed at the time of the report.
July 11
Trespassing: Police charged Harold D. Lowe of Borden Street, Youngstown, with criminal trespassing after video surveillance reportedly captured the 54-year-old Lowe at Circle K, 211 W. Liberty St., in violation of an order prohibiting him from being on the property.
LIBERTY
July 7
Arrest: Police were dispatched to the Mahoning County jail to pick up 30-year-old Paul Bonner of Millet Avenue, Youngstown, who was wanted on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a theft charge.
July 8
Arrest: Simele P. Moananu of Elruth Court, Girard, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired after the 43-year-old man had been pulled over on Belmont Avenue.
Theft: A man in his 30s reportedly stole two cartons of cigarettes from a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave.
Burglary: To a residence in the 5700 block of Belmont Avenue after someone had kicked in then re-locked a side door. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, however.
July 9
Arrest: Aaron S. Cousin, 48, of Holly Drive, Girard, was picked up at the Mahoning County jail on felony and misdemeanor warrants from Girard Municipal Court.
Stolen property: An Austintown man who had found a 2000 Dodge Durango listed on Craigslist for $2,800 and bought it during a trade-in at a West Liberty Street business reportedly later discovered the vehicle had been stolen in York, Pa.
July 10
Arrests: While responding to a possible fight on James Lane, authorities charged 27-year-old Michelle A. Smith of Middletown, Ohio, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and obstructing official business, as well as 29-year-old Daniel J. Waggoner of James Lane, Girard, with obstructing official business. Police discovered Smith had taken the 2003 Chevrolet from Butler County, Ohio, without permission; also both of them interfered with officers’ ability to conduct an investigation regarding the car, a report showed.
Assault/vandalism: Officers received information that two 17-year-old patients had assaulted five staff members, including a nurse, with Belmont Pines Hospital, 615 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, apparently in an effort to escape and before being subdued. They also damaged a computer, a desk and a medication cart, a report showed.
Theft: A man reportedly grabbed a carton of cigarettes and fled from a Shell True North gas station, 3990 Belmont Ave.
Burglary: Took place at a home in the 400 block of Colonial Drive, though police found no signs of forced entry. A firearm, an Xbox game and an iPhone were missing, for a $3,815 loss.
July 12
Arrest: A 17-year-old Washington, Pa., girl was arrested in the 600 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road on a Trumbull County Family Court warrant.
Incident: A township man reported a woman followed him in her vehicle as he dropped off a friend’s child with the friend’s permission during a custody visitation situation.
Drugs: A Denver Drive couple reported receiving in the mail several trading cards they had ordered but, upon closer inspection, discovered suspected marijuana. Evidently, another person had used the couple’s address, they surmised.
Assault: A township woman alleged a man had choked her during an unprovoked attack while at a residence in the 2900 block of Roosevelt Drive.
Drugs: A traffic stop near Logan Gate Road resulted in the arrest of Darryl L. Juillerat, 30, on charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia. Juillerat, of Oakmont Drive, Hubbard, had a digital scale, several hypodermic needles, two spoons with burn marks common in drug use and a bag with suspected drug residue, police alleged.
GIRARD
July 10
Drugs: Officers responded to a report of a possibly drunken driver near Church Hill Road before charging Amanda R. Ingwerson, no information given, with drug abuse and operating a vehicle impaired. Found in her car were roughly 1 gram of suspected marijuana in a pill bottle and two suspected marijuana pipes, a report stated.
Theft: A West Liberty Street woman reported a credit card missing from her residence.
July 12
Arrest: Police near East Prospect Street pulled over and charged 32-year-old Ashley N. Croff of Niles with drug possession and driving under suspension after alleging she had 20 over-the-counter pills with no prescription.
Identity fraud: A Park Avenue man told authorities he received a bill for $250 related to online purchases he had never made.
Assault: A Church Hill Road woman alleged her landlord grabbed and twisted her hand during an argument between them. The landlord apparently was angered that the accuser contacted the fire marshal after he had failed to install a new smoke detector, a report said.
