Man swallows multiple doses of heroin twice

YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said a man running from the police Thursday swallowed six doses of heroin twice.

William Sullivan, 26, was being chased about 6 p.m. by officers investigating a complaint that someone was selling drugs from a car on West Warren Avenue, reports said.

Reports said he threw a bag that had six doses of heroin on the ground, then managed to pick it up when police grabbed him.

He was stunned with a stun weapon when he refused orders to spit the bag out. He spit the bag out then picked it up again and swallowed it. He was stunned again and he spit the bag out, this time for good, reports said.

Sullivan was taken to the Mahoning County jail on drug and resisting arrest charges. He is expected to be arraigned in municipal court later today.
