WARREN

A Trumbull County grand jury Wednesday indicted James Jethroe, 28, of Palmyra Road Southwest, on two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.

The charges stem from a 10:07 p.m. May 4 robbery on Youngstown Road in which two people said a male with a gun forced his way into their vehicle while it was stopped in front of a house on Kenilworth Avenue Southeast.

He then drove the car to a Youngstown Road parking lot, robbed them and fled.

The victims were from Hubbard and Liberty.

Two days later, a Warren police officer spotted Jethroe at Burton Street near Hazelwood wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with a picture of an AK-47 rifle on the front and block lettering above and below the weapon.

The sweatshirt was similar to the description the victims from Youngstown Road gave of the man who robbed them, the officer said.

The officer arrested Jethroe and found he was carrying a handgun.
