C.H. Campbell Elementary School fourth-grade students celebrated the end of their time at the school during their fourth-grade picnic at Fair Park on June 6.

The students were treated to a picnic lunch of Cocca’s Pizza and boneless wings by the PTO and parents who provided watermelon, cookies, brownies, chips and water. Several PTO parent volunteers helped out with the lunch and games.

The students enjoyed time playing games, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball and whiffle ball, organized by Ronie Haurin, C.H. Campbell physical education teacher, and utilizing the school’s gaga pit and the playground at the park.

As a special treat, the students were visited by Kona Ice, which gave each student a cup of Hawaiian shaved ice, courtesy of the PTO.

After the picnic, the students returned to the school to watch their fourth-grade memory video. They also received their yearbooks and were given time for a yearbook signing to wrap up their special day.
