Area girl to dance in New York for benefit

Eliza Farr, a 10-year-old from Cortland, has been asked to perform in New York City on Monday for a fundraiser “Cabaret for a Cause” to benefit Story Shifters, a theatre arts residency for students with medical, physical and neurological impairments, including those on the autism spectrum and with special needs.
The event is hosted by Nia Sioux from the TV show “Dance Moms.”
Eliza will perform “Castle” as choreographed by her teacher Lisa Friend and assistant Bailey Conley.
She currently has earned the Miss Junior Energy title and Miss Petite Legacy title.
Eliza attends Lakeview Middle School and dances with the Performing Arts Center in Boardman.
