Two vacant Youngstown homes lost to flames


YOUNGSTOWN

Firefighters responded to fires at vacant homes late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Reports said crews called about 4:10 a.m. Wednesday to a 1325 East High Ave. home found it engulfed in flames when they arrived, and it burned to the ground. Two cars parked in the drive by a neighbor sustained minor heat damage. Damage is listed at $9,000.

About 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters found a heavy fire after they were called to a 527 Loveless Ave. home. That home is also a total loss, reports said. Damage there is listed at $4,200.

There were no injuries in either blaze.
