Say good-bye to West Library

YOUNGSTOWN

West Library, 2815 Mahoning Ave., has closed in preparation for the construction of the new Michael Kusalaba Branch. Before demolition there will be a fundraising event from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday that will provide the opportunity to visit the library one last time.

Visitors can enjoy food, listen to live bands, draw on a memory wall and drink beer, which will be available for purchase. There also will be 50-50 and basket raffles.

Take old photos and stories of the library to share.

The cost is $10 per ticket, and participants must be 21 years old to attend. No reservations are necessary; pay at the door.

Proceeds will benefit the Michael Kusalaba Branch Library capital campaign. There are no library materials in the building.
