Brookfield house fire sends one to hospital

BROOKFIELD

Multiple units from Ohio and Pennsylvania aided the Brookfield Fire Department extinguish a fire reported late Wednesday afternoon that damaged a home at 1304 Custer-Orangeville Road in Trumbull County and sent one person to the hospital.

It is unknown if the injured person was an occupant of the home or a firefighter.

According to the Trumbull County 911 Center, the fire was reported at 5:19 p.m. and the last fire unit left the scene at about 8 p.m.

The cause is under investigation and the amount of damage was unknown late Wednesday.
