‘Schoolhouse Rock’ at Kent-Trumbull
WARREN
Kent State University at Trumbull Summer Stock will present “Schoolhouse Rock, Live!” for nine performances, beginning Friday.
Directed by Eric S. Kildow and with music direction by Matt White, the musical is the stage version of the Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math and more through clever songs, including “Just A Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”
Show times are 8 p.m. July 15-16, 22-23, 29-30; and 3 p.m. July 17, 24 and 31. The theater is on the campus, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW. Tickets are $15 ($12 for students and seniors, and $10 for children under 12). For reservations, call 330-675-8887 or email trumbullboxoffice@kent.edu.
A one-man show on life of C.S. Lewis

“My Life’s Journey, An Evening with C.S. Lewis,” starring British actor David Payne, will be performed at Trinity United Methodist Church, on Front Street, downtown, at 6 p.m .Oct. 15.

In the show, audiences enter the life of C.S. Lewis through the author’s writings, humor and life of faith. Payne, as Lewis, talks about his relationship with key figures in his life: his wife, Joy; his brother Warren; his Oxford colleague J.R.R. Tolkien; and God.
