Miss Youngstown pageant is Aug. 6

YOUNGSTOWN

A Y.O.U.R. Miss Youngstown Pageant is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 6 at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal Plaza. The pageant title stands for You’re Outstanding, Unique, Reserved for a Purpose. Event admission is $15.

Contestant entry fee is $30. Miss Youngstown 2016 Pageant will have the same preliminaries as Miss Ohio USA 2018. To be eligible for Miss Youngstown 2016, contestants must meet the following requirements: be between the ages of 17 and 24; enrolled in college or college bound; born a woman; resident of Youngstown; never been married; and does not have any children.

The winner will be Miss Youngstown 2016 for one year. The winner is required to do 300-hours of volunteer work in the Youngstown area. After completing the required hours, a $1,000 scholarship will be sent to the school of choice for tuition and books.
