Fire probed after Powers Way garage destroyed

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire reports say a garage at a 3623 Powers Way home was destroyed by a fire Sunday afternoon.

Crews called to the home about 3:50 p.m. found the garage fully engulfed. The homeowner told firefighters he was not smoking in the garage nor did he leave a grill that had been recently used inside. Reports said the garage did not have electricity.

Damage is listed at $2,500. There was no injuries. A cause is under investigation.
