Former AG Eric Holder has book coming in ’18
NEW YORK
Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has a book deal.
The Random House imprint One World told The Associated Press last week that Holder’s “Pursuing Justice” will be released in 2018.
“Pursuing Justice” will “offer a classic narrative” of an immigrant son who became the country’s first black attorney general.
Holder will work on the book with Douglas Blackmon, an award-winning author and journalist whose “Slavery by Another Name: The Re-Enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to World War II” won the Pulitzer Prize in 2009.
Holder served as attorney general in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2015. According to One World, he will reflect on his years in Washington and provide “fresh ideas” on reforming the criminal justice system.
