Friends of Fellows to host garden party

Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will host its 25th annual Summer Garden Party at 6 p.m. July 29 at the gardens, 123 McKinley Ave. There will be an evening of candlelight with a silver-anniversary theme. The Saratoga Restaurant and Catering will provide dinner.

Light music will be provided during the dinner followed by dancing on the great lawn with Disc Jockey Stevie B.

Tickets are $75 each or $125 for reserved seating and can be purchased at the Davis Education Center at the gardens, by calling 330-740-7116 or visiting friendsoffellows.org/events.

Friends of Fellows is a membership dedicated to preserving and improving the gardens as a cultural, educational and aesthetic center. Its strives to inspire continued discovery and enjoyment of the gardens by supporting worthwhile programs and garden improvements.

Elizabeth Fellows originally donated 12 acres, bequeathing her family homestead and her personal assets to create a “beauty spot to be enjoyed by all,” now known as Fellows Riverside Gardens. Youngstown and its surrounding communities have enjoyed the beauty and serenity of the gardens for more than 50 years.

All proceeds will benefit Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens.
