Allens mark 50th anniversary with family dinner

CANFIELD

Mr. and Mrs. Don Allen of Canfield will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family dinner July 17 at Cafe Capri in Boardman. The former Charlotte McCusker married Mr. Allen on July 2, 1966, at Old Springfield United Church of Christ in New Middletown.

Mrs. Allen owned and operated DiGiorgi Florist in Canfield before retiring. Mr. Allen worked as a tool and die maker at General Motors in Lordstown and retired in 2005. The couple are members of Mount Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima.

Their children and their spouses, who will host the dinner, are Don and Dacia Allen of Poland, Ryan and Kim Allen of Columbiana, and Carri and Jeff Austin of Canfield. They have nine grandchildren.
