PSP issue warrant for escaped inmate

Pennsylvania State Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of an inmate who escaped from Sharon Community Corrections Center at 330 W. State St. at about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

A news release states Cody Allen Kuntz, 23, ran out a kitchen door. CCC staff heard an alarm and saw, via a security monitor, Kuntz running across a back parking lot and down a hill toward North Irvine Avenue, the release states.

Police report Kuntz, who was serving time for a felony drug charge, was carrying a garbage bag with his clothing when he ran away. The release describes Kuntz as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is about 160 pounds, 5 feet 7 inches tall and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black athletic shorts and black Nike shoes.
