Play on life of C.S. Lewis

YOUNGSTOWN

The C.S. Lewis Institute of Northeast Ohio will present “My Life’s Journey, An Evening with C.S. Lewis” on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Chuch, West Front Street, downtown. The theatrical show is an inspirational one-man performance in which British actor David Payne portrays C.S. Lewis.

Tickets range from $15 to $25 and are available at payne2016.eventbrite.com.

The audience will enter the life of C.S. Lewis, the 20th century’s greatest Christian apologist, through his writings, humor and life of faith. In his performance, Payne, as Lewis, talks about his relationship with key individuals in his life: his wife (Joy), his brother (Warren), his Oxford colleague (J.R.R. Tolkien) and, of course, God. The heartwarming, funny and inspiring show will bring you closer to the man whose intellect and interests spanned from writing children’s classic “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” to the landmark theological text “Mere Christianity.”

Ticket holders can attend a pre-show reception.
