Baird Brothers used a three-run third inning to move on in the playoffs. Brandon Kilpatrick gave up two unearned runs on three hits and four walks while striking out four as the winning pitcher. Jake Gehrig and Carmen Cavalier each hit RBI-singles in the victory. Ian Levy had an RBI-single and scored a run for Golden Spikes.

STRUTHERS

Knightline trailed the whole contest before scoring three runs in the seventh inning to win the series in two games and advance to the semifinals. Knightline will either face Baird Brothers in a double header on Saturday. Mike Boswell got the win in relief while Marcus Masters pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the save. The top hitters for Knightline were Dylan Speicher with three hits, including a pair of doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored and Zach Campbell also smacked three hits, including a triple. Jake Reimold led Avalanche with three hits, including a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Pat Carano hit a two-RBI single.

Creekside Fitness 7, DuraEdge 4

STRUTHERS

Creekside used a three-run third and sixth innings to get the win. Logan Shreve was the winning pitcher in relief and Kevin Ferguson struck out the side for the save. Dean Lauer and Bryce Richey each hit a double for Creekside. Kyle Shingledecker had two hits, including a double and two runs scored for DuraEdge.
