Pranic Healing introductory class

LIBERTY

The Unity Centre for Spiritual Living, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, will sponsor “An Introduction to Pranic Healing” on Sunday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The class is free but donations will be accepted. For information or to reserve a seat, call the center at 330-539-0122.

Carol Gottesman, a psychiatric and mental-health nurse and a holistic-health nurse, will teach the class. She describes Pranic Healing as “a simple yet powerful and effective system of no-touch energy healing based on the fundamental principle that the body is a self-repairing entity that can heal itself. We accelerate the healing process by increasing the life force or vital energy throughout the body and affected part.”

Gottesman developed and taught a psychiatric-nursing program at Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing for 15 years. During that time, she explored holistic nursing and energy medicine and, in 1980, became certified to teach Touch for Health. In 2011, she began teaching Pranic Healing. “With this introduction you will not only learn what Prana Energy is and the principles of Pranic Healing, you will also come away with some basic techniques you can use to improve your health and that of your friends and family,” she said.
