Austintown Township Park hosted an outdoor concert featuring singer Ashley Lewis and her band on June 7.
Every Tuesday evening - weather permitting - from June until August, a new musician or band will come to the Austintown Township Park and play a free show for guests to attend. Lewis was the first concert of the upcoming concert series.
Lewis and her band performed on the stage of the band shell at the park. Guests who attended brought their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and watch the performance. Lewis performed a variety of songs from pop to country. She sang some of her originals songs in addition to covers of popular songs.
During a short break, Lewis checked her social media accounts and found out something exciting had happened.
“I was checking my Facebook during my break and found out that my Facebook page got verified,” exclaimed Lewis.
Lewis’ Facebook page had gotten verified while she was performing at the Austintown Township Park. She was eager to share the news with the audience of her hometown.
The concerts at Austintown Township Park are family-friendly, allowing guests of all ages to attend. The musicians who perform at the concerts cover many different genres that bring in an array of audiences.
