Pasta dinner set to aid Jasmine Terry
NEWTON FALLS
A pasta dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 338 Ridge Road, to help Jasmine Terry, 4 years old, who needs a liver transplant. Jasmine is listed for a transplant at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
The cost of the dinner will be $10 for adults and $7 for children under 10. It will feature a basket auction and bake sale.
Jasmine was diagnosed with ornithine transcarbamalyse amalyse deficiency. The family needs an estimated $50,000 to pay for transplant-related expenses. For information about the dinner, or other fundraising and volunteer opportunities, contact Jennifer Clonch at 330-442-3218 or jenclonch1986@yahoo.com.
Jasmine’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, a national charity based in Bloomington, Ind. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are completely free of charge, and 100 percent of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
