Little League Ohio District 2 to host four state tournaments

Boardman Community Baseball’s Fields of Dreams will be the host site for the Little League Ohio District 2’s four state tournaments.

The Junior League Softball Tournament will take place July 16-18, while the Little League Major Boys (11-12 year-olds) will take place July 16-23. The major boys winner will advance to Indianapolis, Ind. with the opportunity to advance to Williamsport, Pa. for the Little League World Series and the junior girls will advance to the Regional in Indianapolis, Ind.

Starting July 23-30, the Junior League Baseball and 10-11 year-old baseball tournaments will start. The junior boys winner will advance to Fort Wayne, Ind. The 10-11 year-old boys only play to the state level.

Boardman Community Baseball is looking for volunteers to help during the tournaments with the following positions: score keeping, scoreboard operation, game announcing and other activities.
