Identity thief takes $4K from Boardman business

Police are searching for an identity thief who stole thousands from a Boardman retailer.

A total of $4,350 has been reportedly taken from the bank account of the owner of the business, since February.

The unauthorized transactions to the account didn't stop even after an account switch.

The victim reportedly gave debit card information to two companies in the past five months and police reported it could be a possibility they recorded the card numbers.

The bank reimbursed $4,000, and both the bank and the police will continue investigations.
