East Catholic Cardinals to host registration

On July 16 from 10 a.m. to noon the East Catholic Cardinals football team will be hosting registration for the 2016 football season.

Registration will take place at the Holy Family Parish Center on State Route 224 in Poland. Registration is open to any student entering the fourth, fifth or sixth grade this fall. There is no weight limit to participate on the team.

East Catholic takes great pride in teaching teamwork, fundamentals and proper technique, which will benefit your child for years to come. Its policy that every child has an opportunity to play will ensure a pleasurable and enjoyable experience.

In 2015, East Catholic finished with a 5-1-1 record. Led by an outstanding group of veteran players, the Cardinals battled seven weeks for a conference best record. During the last game of the season, the East Catholic Cardinals avenged its only loss of the season by defeating the St. Charles Lions 20-8 to claim the conference crown. Throughout the year, there were many great individual plays, but it took a tremendous team effort to claim the championship.
