Christman, Heinbaugh qualify for Greatest at Salem Hills

Cole Christman qualified in the boys 17-U and Sydney Heinbaugh qualified in the girls 17-U during the fifth round of the Flynn Automotive Group Juniors Greatest Golfer of the Valley tournament on Thursday at Salem Hills.

Christman, a sophomore at Boardman High, shot a 72 to finish first. Heinbaugh, a senior at Ursuline, notched an 84 to finish second (Jenna Vivo took first with a 74, but she had previously already qualified).

Both clinched their spot in the Greatest Golfer finals on July 22-23. Just one more qualifying round remains — July 14 at Trumbull Country Club.

Also, in the boys 14-U division, Anthony Clark qualified with a third-place 84. Michael Porter took first with an 82 and Luke Nord was second with an 83, although both have already qualified.
