“The Addams Family,” directed by Brent Rodgers, New Castle Playhouse, 202 E. Long Ave., auditions from 7 to 9 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 1. Those auditioning should prepare a vocal selection, no more than two minutes in length, that shows your vocal range. Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided, or bring a CD with only instrumental. No a capella. Actors may be asked to read from the script. Roles of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch, Mal, Alice and Lucas Beineke and the Addams ancestors are available. Boys auditioning for Pugsley must be at least 10 years old. Auditions for all other roles are open to anyone age 13 and older. Performances will be Oct. 21 to 23 and 27 to 30.
