Marshals find man sought for June 30 assault

YOUNGSTOWN — A man wanted on a felonious assault warrant was found today by U.S. Marshals.

Marcus Gutierrez, 37, is expected to be arraigned later today in municipal court on charges he beat John Tatar, 54, who was found about 10 a.m. June 30 lying in the 1300 block of Market Street with severe injuries.

Police said Tatar is in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
