AMPED competition kicks off

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Business Incubator, Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, have launched the AMPED 2016 competition July 1.

The $100,000 technology startup competition awards businesses involved in additive manufacturing or 3-D printing. The competition deadline to apply is Oct. 17.

Unlike traditional business competitions where a cash prize is awarded to the winner, AMPED offers startups a chance to earn an equity investment up to $100,000 based upon meeting specific milestones.
