Woman charged in stabbing that was videotaped

WARREN — Adashante Daniels, 20, of Commerce Avenue Northwest has been charged with felonious assault in a videotaped stabbing involving the father of her child. Daniels is not in custody.

The victim, 21, of Akron and Warren, said he went to Daniels’ home Thursday night to return their daughter to Daniels and they started to argue.

The victim said he took out his cell phone and started videotaping as he tried to leave.

Daniels was holding the baby in one arm and a glass jar in the other and grabbed the car door and shook it while trying to swing the glass jar at the car window, police said.

Daniels then put the baby down, pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in his left side. The victim was treated at St. Joseph Warren hospital for the wound. Police viewed the video, which they said shows the stabbing.
