ODOT launches new mobile app in time for July 4 weekend

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Department of Transportation has launched a new mobile app, known as OHGO, for traffic alerts, road construction and travel delay information.

It is available from the App Store and Google Play.

AAA expects a record 1.8 million Ohioans to travel this July 4 weekend, which would be up 2.3 percent from last year.

Motorists will see the message, “Freedom doesn’t include driving drunk,” on freeway signs this weekend, ODOT announced.
