Child porn found on phone of man who filmed fight with cop

CLINTON, Conn.

Connecticut police looking at cellphone video taken by a man who said he recorded an officer assaulting him said it actually shows him assaulting the officer. They said he also had child pornography on the phone.

WFSB-TV reported that Clinton police announced Thursday they’ve charged 19-year-old Austin Haughwout with assault as well as enticing, inducing and/or coercing a minor with a computer, possession of child pornography and other charges.

Police said Haughwout accused an officer of excessive force during his arrest on an unrelated warrant last July. Haughwout recorded the altercation on his cellphone.

But police examining the phone said the video shows Haughwout assaulted the officer. They also found obscene images of children and sexual conversations with kids.

$90K worth of stolen beer set to be thrown away

ATLANTA

Authorities have found most of the nearly 80,000 bottles of beer that were stolen from an Atlanta brewery last week, but the company said every last drop will have to be thrown away.

SweetWater Brewing Co. spokeswoman Tucker Berta Sarkisian said in a news release that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Southeastern Transportation Security Council on Wednesday returned 30 of the 40 pallets of beer that had been stolen, minus a few cases.

Sarkisian said two trailers carrying 3,272 cases of SweetWater’s Summer Variety Pack were stolen June 21. The trailers were later found empty.

Because of quality concerns, Sarkisian said the beer, worth about $90,000, will be taken to a recycling facility.

Naked man jumps from Times Square grandstand

NEW YORK

Police said a naked man shouting about presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump jumped off the back of a large grandstand in Times Square above the booth where discounted Broadway tickets are sold.

Police said the man was conscious after the jump of about 16 feet off the TKTS booth. They said the man sustained a cut on his elbow and was in stable condition when taken to a hospital. Officials said he’ll undergo psychiatric evaluation.

The man jumped to the ground, missing an emergency air bag set up by first responders.

The man had been shouting, “Donald Trump, where are you?”
